Pet Wellness Care
Oxford Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary clinic serving dogs and cats in Overland Park, KS. We provide your pet with comprehensive veterinary medical care, including wellness examinations, vaccinations, internal medicine, veterinary radiology services, surgical care, and pet boarding and grooming.
Wellness Exams
Regular wellness exams keep your pet healthy! A complete physical examination is a must for pets and we recommend all pets undergo an exam at least once a year. However, more frequent exams are very beneficial for your pet. Physical examinations allow us to detect injuries and chronic conditions before they become more difficult and more expensive to diagnose and treat.
Regular exams also help us develop a complete picture of your pet's health. Along with the physical examination, we conduct a series of laboratory tests; this information is used to identify a baseline level of health for your pet, which aids in future treatment. Examinations are also an excellent time for you to ask questions about your pet's health care.
Internal Medicine

Our veterinarians have many years experience with internal medicine cases and are capable of diagnosing and treating diseases of the liver, kidney, pancreas, spleen, adrenal glands, bowels, and immune system. Pet Identification - Microchipping
Every day, hundreds of pets are lost or wander away from home. A ID tag, collar, and microchip are a great way to identify your pet and help ensure he or she returns home safely if lost. A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice. It is encoded with unique information about your pet; this information is stored in a national pet database. Veterinary hospitals and animal shelters across the country are equipped with scanners capable of detecting and reading microchips. If your pet is lost, his or her microchip is scanned, and the information is used to reunite you and your pet. Oxford Animal Hospital uses the HomeAgain microchip system. Please ask a staff member to schedule your pet's microchipping appointment today.
